Immunomagnetic Binding Immunoassay (IMBI)
Teknologi ini  lebih terkontrol dari teknologi ICT sebelumnya, dipstick, filtrasi& lateral flow sehingga memungkinkan untuk penggunaan vol spesimen kecil dan aktifitas titasi end point yang tinggi, sehingga sensitifitasnya lebih tinggi.
 Sedangkan metode IMBI menggunakan reagen cair yang sangat rawan kontaminasi, kestabilan PH maupun kelembaban.
Kepraktisan prosedur (Langkah pengerjaan dan pipetasi)
Hanya 2 langkah pipetasi yaitu penetesan sampel serum dan buffer
Multi step pipetasi, baik untuk sampel, control dan pengulangan pipetasi setelah inkubasi. Selain itu ada langkah pengocokan reaksi (mixing sampel+reagen) yang tidak standard antar operator
Multi step pipetasi beresiko instabilitas dan konsistensi hasil, bahkan untuk pengulangan spesimen yang sama (variabilitas hasil)

Positip: Muncul garis (warna pink) di daerah tes
Positip: Reaksi Warna sampel sesuai dengan pedoman skala warna Positip, sangat subjektiv terutama di hasil borderline
Identifikasi hasil low positip, lebih mudah menggunakan penanda garis dibandingkan skala warna (terutama untuk operator yang menderita buta warna)
Sediaan Kit
Semua material yang diperlukan untuk operasional sudah tersedia dalam Kit
Pengguna awal harus menyediakan working tray, magnet dan skala warna
Pada pemakaian Tubex TF, Dalam periode tertentu pengguna harus mengganti magnet dan skala warna (karena mengalami penurunan potensi)
Sampel
Pilihan Sampel lebih luas, bisa pakai Whole Blood, Serum, maupun Plasma. Bahkan serum ikterik dan hemolitik masih dapat digunakan. Sehingga sangat fleksibel untuk pasien anak-anak (Pediatrik)
Terbatas di spesimen Serum. Untuk serum Ikterik  atau hemolitik dapat ditreatment, tetapi belum diuji.
